Class Description

Friday, October 18th, 5:00 - 7:00 PM $75 If you desire to write in a supportive environment which fosters a sense of play, join Summer for this two-hour generative workshop based on the Amherst Writers and Artists method. With prompts as invitations, writers are encouraged to write freely in any style, honoring first drafts. We’ll respond with what’s strong and memorable. In Summer’s workshop, writers are considered artists, and all work is regarded as fiction. Writers of all levels of experience are welcome. Sharing your work and responding to your peers is optional, but encouraged. Summer's experience in leading writers workshops and the framework of the Amherst method create a an environment of support. This class are taught with community, craft, creative spirit and voice in mind. Summer leads these workshops on a monthly basis in Darnestown Maryland. This workshop will run with between 4 and 8 participants.
