Celebrate Día de los Muertos Through Art, Music, and Tradition
Día de los Muerto will come alive for a pop-up art gathering celebrating Mexican culture, community, and artistic heritage. Anchored by breathtaking life-sized papier-mâché Las Catrinas and set to Mexican music, the one-day event transformed the space into a colorful homage to memory and tradition.
Life-Sized Papier-Mâché Catrinas: The centerpiece of the celebration will feature handcrafted, full-scale La Catrina figures created by local and featured artisans, Sol Quintal and Ana Hernandez. Made over weeks from paper mache and painted in vivid pigments, with ornate traditional attire, each sculpture stands as a towering tribute Mexican heritage.
Live & Traditional Music: Enjoy classic mariachi, traditional folk melodies, and lively contemporary Mexican rhythms.
Community Ofrenda (Altars): Contribute photos, make tissue paper marigolds (cempasúchil), and leave handwritten notes at a central memorial, creating a shared space to honor departed loved ones.
