About the event

Fields & Forests takes the Riverworks stage as part of the Monthly Concert Series, the second outdoor concert of 2024.

Hailing from Northern Virginia, Fields & Forests consists of musicians Travis Hare, Glenn Boysko, John McRae and Gio Hernandez. The band, which formed in the summer of 2023, draws from a wide array of influences, from folk and indie rock, to shoegaze, slowcore and low-fi, to form a unique and cohesive sound that is all their own. “Fields & Forests” music often draws lyrical inspiration from the natural world, reflecting both the solace and anxiety one finds when contemplating the environment.

The band has currently released 3 songs which can be found on their Bandcamp page at: https://fieldsandforests.bandcamp.com/
