The Rockville Swing back joins us again this year on Riverworks Outdoor Stage - it's the last concert in our Monthly Concert Series for the season!
The Rockville Swing Band, under the musical direction of Josh Frayer, is an affiliation of the Rockville Concert Band and has been around for over 60 years, founded in 1958. The Rockville Swing Band brings together a unique group of talented musicians of all ages from the greater Washington D.C. area who love to play swing music. This exciting mix of musical talent plays traditional swing charts from the Golden Era, as well as contemporary big band arrangements. Recent performance venues include Women’s Club of Chevy Chase, MD, Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland, Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital in D.C., Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa, Combined Federal Campaign reception in D.C., the Sandy Spring Museum, Mormon Visitors Center in Kensington, Behnke’s Nursery in Beltsville, Dish & Dram in Silver Spring; The Daily Dish in Kensington; Normandie Farm for a fund raiser for the Wounded Warriors; Ingleside at Kings Farm in Rockville and at the Rockville Antique Car Show.
