Art Sampler Series

Class Description

Mondays from 6-8PM March 2 - April 6 This "art sampler" class is for teens and adults who want a class that won't box them in - we will test a variety of different techniques together over a 4 weeks that can be combined and integrated, with a two week period at the end for artists to use their favorite techniques for one final piece. Students will practice relief printmaking on rubber and linoleum, cyanotype preparation and printmaking on paper and fabric, collage techniques and adhesives, and types of acrylic paint for mixed media. This class is perfect for people who love to experiment, discover new techniques and work in community. Anastasia Sincevich is a multi-disciplinary artist living and teaching in Poolesville, MD who believes everyone is an artist - some people just haven't found their medium yet. She has her B.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as a masters in education and works in Montessori education. She has experience working with many mediums including digital and darkroom photography, relief printmaking, acrylic painting, charcoal and many more. She has spent the last eight years teaching children art, and worked as a wedding photographer, graphic designer, and studio assistant before that. She currently is working primarily with acrylics painting insects and birds, but always loves to learn something new.
