Made-in-Studio: Fused Glass
Saturday, 11/14 -- 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Explore the magic of fused glass and create one-of-a-kind art!
Class Description
This session is SOLD OUT. Please email contact@riverworksart.org to receive early notification when the next session is added to the calendar! Put "Fused Glass List" in the subject! Have you ever been curious about fused glass? Come experience it first hand and make a small piece to hang in your window (or on your wall) and one for a child attending Camp Erin, a weekend camp experience for grieving children that is sponsored by CaringMatters*. The class will provide clear instruction about cutting and chopping glass, show some of the varieties of fused glasses, and give you the skills to construct your own beautiful pieces. Both pieces will be available for viewing the following week after a kiln firing. You will pick which you want to keep and which you want to donate. If there is time, you may be able to do an additional donation. Because of the nature of glass cutting and limited tools, there will be an 10 person class limit. Ages 16+ are welcome to join! Bring your curiosity and creativity and let’s have fun! *CaringMatters is a not-for-profit organization that serves children, adults and families facing serious illness or grieving the death of a loved one. CaringMatters also increases community awareness and advocacy about end-of-life concerns, advance care planning and grief.
